The Wicked GT 2016: Final Results now available!

Posted on Updated on

Well the weekend of the Wicked GT 2016 has come and gone and it turned out to be a great one! We had tons of prizes and awards to hand out all weekend long, the beer and cocktails were flowing, and plenty of great games were played! We had players show up from Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri and finished off the final tournament to be played with the v.0.11.9.3 rules so now it’s onwards and upwards to v.0.99! Pretty soon we’ll get to Version 1 and then we’ll focus on next years Wicked GT!!

I want to say a special thank you to everybody that traveled both locally and from afar to help make the Wicked GT 2016 the best one yet. I’d also like to thank all of our sponsors – Wizard’s Asylum, Hero Complex, Bits of War, Secret Weapon Miniatures, Cardboard Arcade – for helping with all the prize support and various handouts that we had all weekend long. Every participant that entered was given a gem that was used during our raffle that we had every hour on the hour. We handed out regiment boxed sets of Saurus Warriors and Dwarf Warriors all the way up to a Tomb Kings Battalion (Cody Mattson was really, really wanting the TK boxed set… and as luck would have it, his number was actually drawn when the raffle opened up for it!!) Without all of our great sponsors we wouldn’t have been able to hand out such great prizes throughout the weekend so thank you to everybody who pitched in to make it great!

And congratulations to all of our winners of the Wicked GT 2016!!

Final Results can be found here! (Updated 3/23/2016)

The Wicked GT 2016: Golden Toto Painting Competition Trophy and Info!

Posted on

shadedlogoHave you signed up for the Golden Toto Painting Competition?? Well make sure that the day of the GT you get yourself signed up to participate in the painting competition! In addition to winning prizes that one of our great sponsors, kromlech.eu (Bits of War), have donated you also get a chance to win a one-of-a-kind unique trophy that you can only get by participating in the Golden Toto Painting Competition!

Last year, we had a great turnout for the painting competition but we were not prepared for the amount of support that we had for the event so this year we’ve doubled down and made it an even better event!! We had one of our good friends and gaming buddies, Brian Hunter (@bambamhunter), sign on and sculpt us this buffed up Golden Toto! Any of you veteran gamers will see the resemblance this trophy bears to Golden Demon of old! They were some of the sweetest trophies that you could win and now we’ve captured that same feeling with the Wicked GT! Hunter did an amazing job of sculpting these! After we got the sculpt we set out making casts of each one and now the winners in each of the categories will walk away with SWAG from Bits of War and this Golden Toto Trophy!!

Remember that the entry fee is only $10 per person to enter into the contest. This gets you entry into each category (if you so wish). We will do the judging for the entries on Saturday afternoon and will have all the models back to their owners by Saturday evening. We will announce winners prior to the tournament awards on Sunday afternoon. Just another thing that separates the Wicked GT from all other GTs! Get your entry painted!!!
Here’s a couple of key items as we get closer:

  • Factions! The Factions list has now been completed and uploaded. You’ll use this in each of your 5 games over the weekend. Here’s the link to the Factions sheet.
  • Army Lists! Don’t for get that your Army Lists need to be made using rule set v.0.11.9.3 and not the latest version of v.0.99. Army lists are due ASAP! You can send the army list to thewickedgt@gmail.com.

And so that you’re well aware, here’s some upcoming important dates to remember:

All funds due: Payment is the only way to secure a spot in the Wicked GT, so ASAP. You can send payment via PayPal to thewickedgt@gmail.com
